I was just wondering if it was known whether Andrei was going to be on the Averbukh tour this spring? (Since they have 2 shows in the U.S., one that's only 10 or 11 hours from me!) Any word on this that we know of?

Well, I've only seen the cast list for one show right now (St. Petersburg show that was added in I think April something), and there is no skaters scheduled except those who participated in the show, and some of the "stars" from the show as well. As much as I would like to support the project and show that North America would be interested in an all-Russian show, I would rather it be actual SKATERS, and not the "stars". I don't know if I'll put the cost of a ticket and a trip to see the show out there if it is only real skaters half of the time.

Yay, I got a ticket for LA!
You can go to ticketmaster.com and look at events in Atlantic city (may 31) and Los angeles (June 1). Most expensive tickets are $150, so kind of steep. But it'll be worth it for me. |

I also wonder about this costume
 ! I'm not surprised he joined the tour since he usually does it as soon as possible but I wonder about the States . I remember last year the tour went out of russia ( can't remember where  ) but I believe Andrei wasn't part of the cast on these shows . I really hope he's going to the States !{{ Camille }}

I think Andrei did go to the out of Russia shows. I remember seeing pictures or video of him from Tallinn, Vilnius and Latvia, and I think I recall reading about him doing one of the Israel shows last year, but he was sick at the time or something. Anyway, I'm hoping big time to get to see him in the U.S.!

Everything I have read on the Ice Symphony forum, in reviews from people who have seen the show, they all have said how wonderful Andrei has been in performing his programs!! So very nice to read. I still don't know what the second program is, but it seems to be some kind of gypsy-type music.

Continuing to read positive reviews about Andrei on the Ice Symphony forum site. I believe his second program (the "Mystery program") is skated to Ziganotchka. By all reviews, great jumps and footwork!

The latest I have read (from Tyumen), he starts off both act 1 and 2, and the programs are "beautiful and interesting, but technically 'light'". I'll take the beautiful and interesting, thank you!
