Thank you, Kasey; for me, that link didn't work, so I removed it.

I've alreaydy thought of visiting the site myself.
I can be a bit slow sometimes. lol
Just about a week ago I've heard of Mukhortova/Trankov planning on participating. And I thought that Andrei could've gone, too, since he already has both Grands Prix exactly the same as MMMT.

I think on the Russian "pairs" list or participants, there is no entry named yet (maybe that is what "n.n" means); so perhaps M/T will be
there as well.

The information about MMMT is from Vassiliev's blog, so guess it should be accurate.

I'm sorry for the off-topic, but since this thread is active...
The 2-nd Crystal Ice Awards show is going to be held in October. There's a voting open for a kind of "people's shoice" award or something.
Sure, our boy is not on the list, but his coach is. You can vote for Vodorezova here: http://www.aif.ru/rate/ra...=85&voteidelement=509 What you need to do
is type the four digits' captcha found in the bottom and click the button. You can vote one time a day.
Vodorezova has no chance of winning it, of course (Yagudin and Platov are leading by a big margin), but it would be nice to get into the top 10 since she's been a very good skater back in her time. Currently she's in 11-th place.

At review skating on Friday Andrei skated very well! He said that he's actually doing well. He really would like to come to Oberstdorf, but it's not sure yet. Yesterday ge has gotten the flight ticket to Samara, where is taking place the CoR from Thursday. If he will skate well again then they'll send him to Oberstdorf. So let's keep our fingers crossed!

Nice. Let's keep forcing skaters to show that they "qualify" for a B-level competition, so that they can be overly stressed and possibly injured
before the Grand Prix season even begins.....
(This must be Piseev)

My thoughts exactly. :/
Although I couldn't actually get any confirmation on the Samara event entrants. Nobody knows a thing about it, except that they're dividing the tournament between the two towns because of the disastrous state of Samara's ice. I've heard that the girls have moved to Togliatti, and the boys will skate in Samara. Would've been easier to move the whole thing to Saransk that has two nice arenas. :/ Looks like somebody there is severely brain-damaged (shall not point my finger at this person). |

I called Oberstdorf and also the DEU and they said that they didn't receive a change from Russia. So Andrei should come!

Bad news, girls, although not unexpected. Andrei is not going to Germany. Ivan Tretiakov is going instead. This information was confirmed by Tretiakov himself.
