Sorry I got too late to this topic.
Andrei wasn't scheduled with any foreign shows this year, not even in Prabaltica (the Baltic Countries). That's sad since I have a very good friend among the show organizers in Tallinn and somewhat counted on it. It looks like Andrei stopped with the tour after Khabarovsk and was replaced by Ilia Klimkin. While it's still possible that he might appear in Perm (since he's lways done the show there no matter what), I wouldn't count on it. Sadly, I have no news on what he's doing right now. If they're actually have started preparations for the next season, it's great. At Nationals I was glad to hear that Andrei took the next season very seriously. P.S. - Hope they keep the SP, it's my second fave program of his after Libertango.

Thanks Zmeya. Sigh. I guess I don't get Andrei in Los Angeles. And I was so looking forward to seeing that "mystery program", since no video of it has ever shown up. But if he's taking the time to prepare for next year, good for him. He does need to take this next season seriously, and I'm sure he'll do just that.
(I hope he keeps the SP also, it's my favorite of his!) |

I have a video of this program from Khabarovsk (made with photo camera *gg*), but most of the time it was his back turned my way.
Anyway, the program is nothing special, actually. Guess who made it... Averbukh, you're right. *sigh* Jouline is so much better at it, really. BTW, I've been told that currently Andrei is at his parents' home in Perm. His friend Maxim is also in Perm now. Guess, almost everyone is taking a break or something. Don't know for how long, though.

I believe the story was that Trankov needed to have some kind of surgery on his arm in the off-season, so perhaps he's recovering there at home. It's nice that they are getting the break and being able to stay with family.
I guess I'm glad that we aren't missing so much by not getting to see that new program. The Harlem Nocturne one was so well-done, I was expecting more!

Trankov doesn't need surgery, it all turned out to be better than expected. He's undergoing therapy, so everything should be okay.

Andrei skated in Perm, after all. I mean the Ice Symphony show.
I knew he couldn't miss it.

I am sorry that you didn't get to see Andrei too, Irene. Awwwwww.
I tried to look at the photos with the link you gave, but I could not find them, on your website, but I did see the photos of Alexei shopping in Japan, and one of them really made me laugh, so thanks for sharing those. I hope that you still had a great time , and that Andrei will come back next year to a city near you . *Proud And Happy Fan Of Alexei Yagudin Always No Matter What !! *SmilesAlways,

Well, now the Averbukh show in Los Angeles has been cancelled. So I guess I'm not missing out on not having Andrei on the tour after all, since the show on
my side of the country isn't going off anyway. Sigh. Off to find more video of the shows from the Russian boards, from people who actually got to SEE them!

There will be another show in Moscow on May 14. Hopefully it will be broadcasted.

Wow...um, where did that picture in my signature come from?????? LOL, I didn't put it there! Zmeya, I hope it's broadcast as well, although I guess
Andrei wouldn't be in it (well, maybe he would, if it's in Moscow).

Ok, very strange, have no idea how that picture, or even a signature, came about!

Sorry about the show cancelled . Any explanation ? Just curious because I've heard several times the ticket were definitly too expansive . Maybe not any of
them sold ?
Kasey : Ezboard didn't ask anything ... they didn't mail us any warning either ! We suddenly had to "upgrade" to Yuku . I didn't understand what Yuku was , and I don't understand better now . I only understand the board looks weird and ugly , it doesn't work several hours a day , we can't easily use smilies or post URLs and the improvement is basically bullshit ( sorry , I'm really mad about this ) . Maybe your signature is because of the " use default signature" box checked (or not ??? ) . I can't help very much because the control panel still doesn't work , despite Yuku "help" ... I HATE YUKU !!!!

Hehe, well, it's a nice pic and all, I just have NO idea how it got into my signature, or even how I GOT a signature!! I don't recall ever creating
one! But it's all good!

Kasey, it was a really nice signature, all in all. *gg*
And Andrei is scheduled for this Moscow show (the information is from Moscow ice skating federation). It's not an IS/Averbukh show, if I got it right. It's a kind of Moscow fed's own "our young Olympic hopes" show supported by Rossija Sport TV channel (that's why I hope it will be broadcast). Only Moscow athletes will participate, mostly junior skaters. The "big" stars scheduled are Yana Khokhlova/Sergei Novitsky and Andrei Griazev. Other scheduled seniors are Alexandra Yevleva, Nina Petushkova, both Uspenski brothers and Ekaterina Rubleva/Ivan Shefer. It's mostly boys, girls and ice dancers on the list. Only four pairs are scheduled, among which there are Ekaterina Sheremetieva/Mikhail Kuznetsov whom I liked a lot at last year's Nationals. All in all it should be interesting. |

A very beautiful song, indeed. People say the music suited him well. Hope for the broadcast soon.
